Teaching Philosophy

If you were asked, “What do you believe in teaching?” or “What do you want to achieve as a teacher?” and “What would you expect from your students?” Those answers will simply indicate what your teaching philosophy is all about. For me education is best summed in the picture below:

Teaching

Teaching is a profession to provide education to our future generations. It is a process to guide students and help them in their learning. Contemporary teaching process has evolved beyond the sphere of chalk and talks that result in more weighing on student-centred learning environment. This has been made possible with the integration of fast advancing information technology as it helps remove the isolation in the learning process while nurturing the peer-study group settings.

I hope I can be a teacher with whom students enjoy learning. I want to be a role model that inspires them, make them work and reach their dream. I will try my best to plant the seed of curiosity and motivation to help them grow and succeed.

Student

Teacher and student complement one another in achieving the goal of education. As a teacher, I prefer to be a facilitator that help or guide my students into becoming self-motivated and independent learners. I believe this will translate into a life-long learning culture that allows them to continually develop new competencies in achieving their aspirations.
